Strategic Alliance: BRIDS and Maybank Asset Management Strengthen Investment Access in Ind

Jakarta, August 7, 2024 – PT Maybank Asset Management (Maybank AM) announced a strategic partnership with PT BRI Danareksa Sekuritas Indonesia (BRIDS) as a mutual fund sales agent (APERD) through the signing of a partnership agreement. This partnership marks an important step in expanding the distribution network of Maybank AM mutual fund products in Indonesia and diversifying BRIDS mutual fund products.

The signing ceremony held at the Maybank AM office in Jakarta was attended by the management of both companies, including Mr. Raja Edham Zulkarnaen as Director of Maybank AM and Mrs. Fifi Virgantria as Director of Retail & Information Technology BRIDS as the signatories of the partnership agreement, and was also attended by Mr. Laksono Widodo as President Director of BRIDS. This partnership aims to provide wider access to BRIDS customers to various investment products managed by Maybank AM.

In his remarks, Raja Edham Zulkarnaen, Director of Maybank AM, stated, “We are very pleased to be able to collaborate with BRIDS. This collaboration is part of our strategy to expand the reach of Maybank AM mutual fund products to more investors in Indonesia. With a strong distribution network and good reputation that BRIDS has, we are confident that this collaboration will provide great benefits for both parties.”

In line with this, Laksono Widodo, President Director of BRIDS in his speech also said “We welcome the collaboration with Maybank Asset Management in marketing mutual fund products. This aligns with our commitment to continue providing quality and diverse investment products for our customers. We believe that mutual fund products from Maybank AM will be an attractive investment choice and provide added value for our customers, and of course, will contribute to the Company's AUM increase target of 50% this year.”

The mutual fund products that BRIDS will distribute include various investment options, ranging from equity mutual funds, fixed income mutual funds that distribute dividends monthly, mixed mutual funds invested in various instruments such as money markets, stocks and bonds, to money market mutual funds that can be disbursed on the same day. With these various options, it is expected to meet the diverse investment needs of customers.

"With this collaboration, investors will be able to transact Maybank AM mutual fund products on BRIDS' BRIGHTS application such as making purchases (subscriptions), redemptions, switching, and saving mutual funds that are routinely automated every month through the Mutual Fund Investment Plan feature on the BRIGHTS application," added Laksono.

The signing of this collaboration is part of Maybank AM and BRIDS' ongoing efforts to encourage the growth of the capital market industry in Indonesia and increase financial literacy and inclusion in the community.
