Information on the 2025 Value Added Tax (VAT) Policy Update

To the respected Customers of PT BRI Danareksa Sekuritas (“BRIDS”), referring to the provisions:

Article 7 paragraph (1) letter a of Law Number 7 of 2021 concerning Harmonization of Tax Regulations (UU HPP);

Regulation of the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia Number 131 of 2024 (PMK No.131/2024) concerning Value Added Tax Treatment on Imports of Taxable Goods, Delivery of Taxable Goods, Delivery of Taxable Services, Utilization of Intangible Taxable Goods from Outside the Customs Area Within the Customs Area, and Utilization of Taxable Services from Outside the Customs Area Within the Customs Area; and

Circular Letter of the Indonesia Stock Exchange No. S-00001/BEI.KEU/01-2025 dated January 1, 2025 regarding Submission of Additional Information on Adjustment of Value Added Tax (VAT) Rates in 2025.
We hereby convey the following information regarding the updated Value Added Tax (VAT) policy:

The Adjustment of Value Added Tax (VAT) Rates is calculated by multiplying the VAT rate of 12% (twelve percent) by the Taxable Base in the form of Other Values, which is 11/12 (eleven per twelfth) of the Transaction Fee value. This policy will be effective from January 1, 2025 for all transactions that are the object of VAT.

The adjustment of the VAT rate does not change the amount of VAT paid or the Customer Transaction Fee. The VAT and Transaction Fee values will be listed on the Trade Confirmation of each transaction.
BRIDS will continue to monitor the development of regulations and/or policies issued by the Government regarding this matter and will inform you if there are changes to the regulations.
