BRIDS Strengthens Distribution Network by Officially Relocating Medan Branch Office
Medan, August 28, 2024 – BRI Danareksa Sekuritas (BRIDS) officially relocated and inaugurated its Medan branch office located at Menara Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) 8th Floor, Jl. Putri Hijau Dalam No. 2a, Medan, North Sumatra, which was carried out to further strengthen the Company's retail brokerage business distribution network.
The inauguration event was also attended by representatives of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (IDX: BBRI) consisting of the Regional Office Leader and Branch Leader of North Sumatra, as well as representatives from the Representative Office of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the North Sumatra Region.
In her remarks, BRIDS Retail & Information Technology Director Fifi Virgantria revealed that data from PT Kustodian Sentral Efek Indonesia (KSEI) as of June 2024 showed that Sumatra is the island in Indonesia with the second largest number of investors after Java (67.5%) with a total investor distribution of 16.64%.
"Seeing the demographics and potential growth of investors in Sumatra, we expect the relocation of our branch offices to further strengthen synergy with BRI, reach more investors with more strategic branch office placements, and of course further strengthen the Company's retail brokerage business distribution network," explained Fifi.
In addition to the relocation of branch offices, so far BRIDS has also expanded the Company's distribution network in North Sumatra and its surroundings, collaborating with various well-known universities and synergizing with BRI to open Investment Outlets, namely the Satya Terra Bhinneka University Outlet Medan, the BRI Pekanbaru SLP Outlet, the Nias University Outlet and the Sultan Agung Pematangsiantar School of Economics Outlet.
"The expansion of the Company's distribution network, in addition to of course aiming to support the increase in literacy and inclusion of the Capital Market throughout Indonesia as planned by the OJK and BEI, is also an effort by the Company to achieve the Company's big target of reaching 1 million customers in 2026," concluded Fifi.
