Jakarta, March 12, 2025 – As part of its commitment to positively impacting society, BRI Danareksa Sekuritas (BRIDS) has distributed 450 staple food packages worth IDR 120 million to those in need. This initiative is not only a tangible expression of social responsibility but also actively involves employees in supporting community welfare and reinforcing the spirit of sustainability.

This program is the result of a synergy initiated by BRIDS’ parent company, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BRI), where the staple food packages were distributed to various regions in Indonesia, including Jakarta, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Palembang, Surabaya, Medan, Semarang, and Makassar. This reflects a collective spirit to assist communities around BRIDS’ head office and branch offices.

Each package contains rice, sugar, cooking oil, soy sauce, and tea bags, which are estimated to meet a family’s food needs for up to seven days. This initiative aims to ease the burden on communities amid fluctuating food prices in recent times.

BRIDS President Director Laksono Widodo emphasized that this initiative is a concrete form of synergy within the BRI Group ecosystem, actively involving nine BRI subsidiaries and BRI-assisted MSMEs, including BRILink Agents and BRI Cooperatives as staple food package providers. Through this initiative, BRIDS not only provides aid to those in need but also supports economic sustainability for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

“We believe that sustainability is not just about business, but also about how we can contribute to society. Through this program, we hope to provide real benefits while supporting the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) No. 1: No Poverty, and No. 2: Zero Hunger,” said Laksono.

As part of the BRI Group, BRIDS remains committed to being an agent of change, contributing to the social and economic well-being of the community. This program aligns with BRI’s vision of delivering the best services to the micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) segment, as well as supporting the development of a more inclusive and sustainable economy.

BRI Deputy President Director Catur Budi Harto stated that this initiative is also in line with the government’s Asta Cita vision, where the distribution of staple food assistance aims to ensure the fulfillment of basic community needs.

"BRI Group consistently delivers social value, strengthening the role of state-owned enterprises (BUMNs) as one of the pillars of the national economy and providing positive benefits to the environment and surrounding communities," said Catur.

Through the "BRIDS Peduli" CSR program, BRIDS is committed to consistently and sustainably focusing on impactful social, educational, and environmental programs. By collaborating with volunteers, organizations, and other stakeholders, BRIDS aims to create meaningful benefits and added value for the environment and the Indonesian community.
